Hennepin Technical College
Getting a college education can be very advantageous. Even a degree from a technical college can be beneficial. Technical colleges help their students in training and learning a specific set of skills and abilities. While most of the best schools and colleges are either very exclusive or expensive, most of the technical colleges help their students with their resource limitations while still providing a quality education. Among the best technical schools in the state of Minnesota includes the Hennepin Technical College.
Hennepin Technical College, also known as HTC, is a public technical school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The school was established in 1972. The school features two campuses in the state. The school is rated to be among the state’s top technical schools by most college review guides. The school receives an average of around 5,500 students each term.
HTC awards degrees, certificates and diplomas in Associate in Applies sciences. These programs include degrees in Construction and Building, Business and Information Technology, Education, Health, Emergency and Public Safety, Floral and Landscape, Service Industry, Transportation, Manufacturing and Engineering Technology, and Media and Communications. Because the campus of HTC features several student housing and dorm rooms, there is also an HTC campus security team established in main campus to provide the students, the staff and all visitors with a secure and safe environment. The campus security is not only there to keep the grounds safe, but also to help provide the community with service and help enforce the school’s procedures and policies.
Hennepin Technical College is also committed to diversity initiatives that helps foster an inclusive community that welcomes and supports everyone regardless of ethnicity, race, gender, sex, religion, or income. Hennepin Technical College also works closely with the local community to provide customized training in areas that can be helpful for the local community, such as fire protection and culinary arts.
Most of the clubs and organizations in the school are sponsored by the Hennepin Technical College. These include Student Life Board, Phi Theta Kappa, Pangea Multicultural Club, Veteran Student Club, and the HTC Student Senate. The school colors of HTC are orange and gray.
